ActivityBasic activity of the factory is fabrication of copper and copper alloys by rolling, extrusion and drawing into standard semi-products: Flat-rolled products – sheets, strips, foils, lammelae, roundels... Extruded and drawn products – tubes, rods, bars, profles, wire... In our workshops we cast and process several types of pure phosphorus-deoxidized copper, and copper-zinc alloys – two-component and three-component brasses, (leaded brass and special tin, aluminum and nickel brass), or multi-component Si, Al, Fe, Mn and copper-nickel alloys (up to 5% Ni). Semi-products are manufactured and delivered in accordance with EN, DIN, ASTM, GOST, BS, NF and other world standards. Special technical conditions are stipulated for out-of-standard requirements. Apart from our own primary and secondary raw materials, we buy external raw materials which is used in our production cycle after preparation. Valjaonica bakra Sevojno AD has a certified quality management system, as required by JUS ISO 9001 standard 1997. Major part of production is exported to foreign markets, foremostly to Western Europe. - Foreigh markets 87% (Western Europe 57%, Central and Eastern Europe 10%, ex-yugoslav republics 8%, USA and Canada 7%, Near East 5%) - Domestic market 13% Our semi-finished products are used in machinery and electrical industries, shipbuilding, petrochemicals, energetical, automobile and process industries, civil engineering and architecture... BackgroundValjaonica bakra Sevojno AD started production in 1952. with projected capacity of 25.000 t/year. During subsequest expansion phases capacity was increased to 60.000 t/year, approximately 60% of which were rolled, and 40% extruded and drawn products. All this made VBS AD the largest copper and copper alloys manufacturer in the region, ranking among renowned and larger factories of this type in Europe and worldwide.
Ownership structurePrivatization of the factory ensued in 2004. with East Point Holdings Ltd. and Amalco (Overseas) Limited (from 2007. Lapka Trading Limited) Consortium as majority owner. Substantial investments were realized after privatization, which improved technological-productive capabilities of the factory and hoisted product quality to a higher level. From 2007. , following organizational changes, apart from mother company, there are four legally separate companies, namely Valjaonica-FEMOD, Valjaonica Bezbednost (Security), Valjaonica Ambalaža (Packaging), and Valjaonica Standard (Catering), whose 100% founder is Valjaonica bakra Sevojno AD. Apart from working for the mother company, all these companies offer their services elsewhere as well. |
